Footsies and buffalo's

 Get ready this ones good!

Ah hola! Cómo están todos?
Footsies?
Uh ya so that happened... we were sitting in this lesson with our mission leader and everything is going goof yk talking about Temples and such and then I look over and the friend sitting across from my companion was just straight up staring at her and she kinda shifted and looked at me... me being absolutely clueless went on in my broken spanish and we finished the lesson and as we were walking to the car and my sweet comp looked at me and said with a terrified look on her face "he was trying to play footsies with me." I LAUGHED SO HARD LOL we'll just say they are now being taught by Elders only... haha!
Bautismo!
Ah OK first things first! Gladys got baptized! I didn't realize you could teach all the lessons, grow a testimony, and get baptized and confirmed in one week but wow MIRACLES ARE OUT THERE! Okay a little backstory, Gladys came to church last week for the first time in a very long time, felt the spirit soo strong and wanted to be baptized, so what did we do? We had a LOT OF FAITH and she was baptized Saturday! Her faith inspired me to have more faith and strengthened my testimony that God has prepared people out there! The miracle of Gladys is one I will never forget, and I know it wasn't because of me that she was able to be baptized, but it was because of our Heavenly Father! Gladys is incredible! Everyone needs faith like Gladys!
ZONE CONFERENCE WOOOOT!
I wish we could have zone conference every week.... it was incredible! And I'd love to share some things that I've learned from this experience! First being from Sister Watson who is my mission Presidents wife and she is awesome! Anyway, she focused on the purpose of prayer, something so simple yet something we (me) sometimes try to make difficult, but as she was talking about the purpose of prayer she talked about asking what the Lord wants you to do, not what you think you need to do. Sometimes all we want is what we see in the moment when really we need to do what the Lord wants us to do, and everything else needs to be secondary. This is something I'm trying to work on and I'm so grateful for Sister Watson and the spirit she brings! Next, my AMAZING mission President talked to us about Learning to Feel and Recognize the Holy Ghost! Something he brings up is that most of the time, revelation doesn't just come as we have finished praying and are waiting for an answer. He says "Revelation comes when we are in motion." I have a strong testimony of this, as I've been able to read in the scriptures and testify of my love of the Savior, I have been able to receive revelation! Literally best zone conference ever! And I just want to finish with one last thing that I learned,
The most powerful thing we have to share with others, is our testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
Share what you know! Spread the light of Christ. This world needs YOU and the light of Christ that shines through you!
I love you! God loves you! I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves each and everyone of us individually and perfectly!
God is good!

"FILL UP THE FONT! LETS GET HER DUNKED!"

 HOLA TODOS!

WOW THIS WEEK WAS AMAZING! Gotta flex real quick and start out with the fact that my comp and I put 6 PEOPLE ON DATE!!! WOOOT WOOOT! And one of them is getting baptized this Saturday ahhhh!!! I'm so excited! The dad of the girl getting baptized this weekend literally is so excited and said, "Fill up the font, let's get her dunked!!" It was so funny and we're all really excited! Something we have kept in mind and have been warning our friends about is that the Adversary is going to work extra hard on those who are trying to covenant with God! It's so true but we know that through faith and pray and reading the scriptures and going to church will make it harder for the adversary to come in. And that's something we can all do to keep him away!
Milagros!
I've seen Gods hand in my life so much this week and it's been so comforting to know that he is in the details of everything! I was able to get a priesthood blessing and was told that I'm exactly where I need to be and that brought me a lot of peace. Although I already knew this sometimes it can be hard to keep in mind when things get hard! But hey missions are hard! I've been able to rely on the spirit and the Lord so much! Another little miracle from this week was on Sunday. Our new friends who are getting baptized came to church, and sometimes it can be scary when you are new and don't know anybody and I could tell that Diane, Haley, and Brianne could feel that being there but as they were heading to class, a familiar face to them came and said hi! That was such a good reminded to me that God is in the details!
Well, the sun is shining, and the Mexican food is still good, and my Spanish is still bad hahaha! I hope yall have a good week! Look for those miracles!! Also please pray for our friends!!
God is good!

Where is my tamale pot?? The ALUMINUM tamale pot!

Oh my, okay lots of things this week!

But one interesting thing was talking to our new referral friend, Sylvia for 45 MINS! And she mainly was yelling at some FedEx guy about how a homeless lady stole her tamale pot! SHE COULDNT FIND HER TAMALE POT! I repented after for laughing at this unfortunate event, don't worry. Anyways...
FLOODSSS
California hasn't had this much rain in so long! It's been crazy, we drive through huge puddles everyday which is kinda really fun! Oh, BTW I finally got my official TIWI card which means I've been able to drive in Cali as a missionary. Kinda a big flex, I know. Anyways, we were able to do a lot of outside finding in the rain and I've heard from my amazing companion's dad that the more doors you knock in the rain, the more attractive your future spouse will be... we may have been in the rain a lot this week ;)
Friendsss
We found 10 new friends this week woooot! We've done find and grind like crazy and it's been so so fun! I also am now on the Facebook team for our pages which is kinda fun and it's been cool to message and teach people from different countries and then refer them to missionaries in their areas. I've enjoyed it a lot and the best part is that I get to do it in my slippers😎
Miracles!!!
This week has been full of many emotions for sure! Got told from a recentish convert that she wanted to try other churches cuz she had doubts and didn't know if our church was true, ya, that stung. My comp and I both left with heavy hearts and immediately prayed to feel peace and know that it was all in our Heavenly Fathers hands. After this sad event we went to church hoping that someone would come to church because we also got told by 3 friends that they weren't coming. We showed up and ended up having 12 FRIENDS AT CHURCH!! 12!! Our recent convert brought her two neighbors and 6 of their kids! It was amazing! And 7 of the 8 of them are 8 and older woooot!! We have a lesson with them tonight so prayers up! And we had 3 other friends come too! It was amazing! After church we said a gratitude prayer because we knew this was all because of our Heavenly Father. We learned that as we stay diligent in the work and pray for help and guidance, we will be blessed with miracles we'd never see coming!
Please look for those miracles! They are everywhere! And pray for our two friends who are praying for a baptismal date!! God loves you, Jesus loves you, and I love you! Nos Vamos!
God is so very good!

Do I really look 15?!

 Haha happy Monday!

Yesterday at church I got told I look 15 by a lil abuelita so that's cool. Wasn't sure how to take that one but oh well!

First things first, we now have 2 people praying about a baptismal date woot woot!

Weather
It down poured for 5 days straight here so that was kinda fun! We weren't able to do a lot of outside time and I think Californians are afraid of rain... nobody can figure out quite how to drive. Good thing God protects his missionaries from scary drivers in the rain sheesh.

Temple!
Coolest miracle this week! Me and my comp got to go to the temple with the recent converts we've been visiting every week! IT WAS INCREDIBLE! We were able to do 12 baptisms each and it was so spiritual! Although when Hermano Cuevas baptized me, he couldn't pronounce my name haha I am now Hna Brobank but hey he tried! After the temple Martha, one of the recent converts, said she has never felt so much peace and she feels so blessed to have gone to the temple with her granddaughter for the first time. It made me think of the times I've been in the temple and how much peace I feel every time I get to go. I encourage everyone to try and get to the temple once a week! You will feel so much peace!

5 dolla water?!
Ok this is kinda cool, after a long day of outside time and little success my comp and I decided to head home, and I was just pleading with the Lord to put someone in our path to teach. The Lord answers prayers! As we were driving home, we saw this sweet family selling cases of water for 5 bucks each. As we passed, I felt prompted to check and see how much was in my wallet and there was a crisp 5-dollar bill! I told my comp to pull a U turn and that we were going back! We got the case of water and were able to have a good conversation with the dad and got a return appointment woot woot! Heavenly Father always has a plan!

Devotional
I hope and of you young adults watched the devotional with Elder Holland last night! It was AMAZING! And if you didn't. Do it TODAY! It was the most spirit led devotional I've ever watched! Two things that stuck out to me. The first from Sister Holland she said "Faith is the conviction that there is a God. Hope is trusting that he will trust us. Charity is his love working through us." It still gives me chills! These three things can bring us so much Joy, but we need all three to have that Joy. It's something we can all work on. The other quote that I'd like to share is from Elder Holland and it says "We need to step up and embrace our destiny" YA you. And me. And everyone. As young adults, we are going to get the battalion. We are the next generation. We need to step up and embrace it.

I love you all. Hope on and press forward!

Still figuring out the whole "adulting" thing

Ya so... I'm figuring out how to adult currently. For example, my comp and I woke up Friday morning, got ready, planned our day, and were about to do our weekly planning. As we were starting to plan, we both just had horrible headaches and it was hard to even function, but we got through and and went to the kitchen to eat lunch. Everything seemed fine until we found out our STOVE WAS ON ALL NIGHT AND THE GAS WAS JUST ON! We both freaked out and realized that's why we had headaches but the one thing that saved us, was a tiny flame that was on with it so it wasn't straight gas. SO SCARY! After we figured it all out and opened every door and window, we prayed because we were so grateful for that little flame! And after we related it to Christ, he is that little flame that can save us! I know that God protects his missionaries, and that Christ is our Savior!

On that note... HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I am so excited for 2023 not only cuz it's the new year, but it's also my BLACKOUT YEAR AS A HERMANA! I get to be a missionary for all of 2023 and I'm so grateful!
AMIGOS
Okay so this is kinda cool, we had 5 friends at church on Sunday for fast Sunday! It was so cool! The spirit was so strong even though I barely understand the Spanish testimonies, I could tell the friends we were sitting by could feel the spirit! And now they wanna come back again! WOOT WOOT!!
MILAGROS
I have seen so many miracles this week, from literally living another day, to friends at church, to answers to prayers, to testifying of my Savior every single day and knowing that my testimony is growing. It's been cool to see how although things won't always go the way they're planned, God has his plan. He is in the smallest of details in everything we do. We had a miracle as we were out stopping by some referrals. We knocked on this house and were able to talk to the son of the guy we were looking for. He was really interested in our message and wanted to know more. His dad, however, did not. But said we could still come over and teach his son and daughter. That is a miracle in itself because we know that if we teach by the spirit with the kids, the parents might have a change of heart!
R A I N
Ok so I know there is a lot of snow in Utah currently and I was enjoying my 60-degree weather, but this week, it down poured! The streets were flooding, and it got crazy! Don't worry pics below.
Invitation!
So, as it's the new year and we're all making goals that we will most likely keep until the end of January😎 I'd like to invite you all to think about a goal that will center your life more on Jesus Christ. I can promise you that if you follow through with this goal and pray for strength to do it, you will be blessed. The love of our Savior is eternal!
Love you all!

The hardest thing I've ever loved to do

God is a loving Heavenly Father. The first principle we teach as missionaries.  A simple statement, but one that has changed my life.  God...
