They do be out of Book of Mormons

Hola! Yup so basically our mission is running really low on book of Mormons right now cuz well we haven't gotten any in a long time somethings backed up! Luckily for me, I've got libros to spare but rip the English missionaries.... this week was nothing compared to last week. We had zone conference with the new pres and it was super good! The transition was hard as far as new President but he is amazing and I'm grateful for him and his wife!

Milagro
This week went super-fast, and I really don't remember a lot of it! Our teaching pool is starting to be really good, and we have a lot of progressing people and 2 will hopefully be getting baptized in the month of August woot woot! We were able to have an awesome church tour lesson this week with our progressing friend Clara and she FINALLY came to church which was really cool! We have been working with Clara since my first transfer here in Corona, she was a social media referral which is really awesome! Pray for Clara! She is amazing!
Exchange miracle
I got to go on exchanges this week with one of my favorite people, sister Grames.  We were out stopping by some of her friends in English land and we walk up to this door, and she says "ok this is our friend Will. We are gonna try and get a return appointment with him because he's been kinda ghosty" I was like alright let's do it. We knock on the door and there's Will and the second he opens the door, I recognize him. I had met Will my very first pday here in Corona when I was shopping in Walmart. We had a good convo and I gave him a card with the English missionaries' number. It was like an ah ha moment and Will knew it too. He immediately recognized me and started to cry, he's been going through a lot, but he said that day in Walmart changed his life. It really strengthened my testimony of being kind to others. At the time I talked to him, Will wasn't super interested but I was able to talk to him as a friend and he was able to talk to me as a friend. Will is amazing and I was able to say a prayer with him before I left his doorstep and I just felt Heavenly Fathers love for Will so much! I have a strong testimony that exchanges are meant to happen that was no coincidence that I happened to be with sis Grames that day to visit Will.
Anyways that's pretty much it from me! It's still hot, I'm still sweating, but I love this work and there is nowhere else I'd rather be! Next week we have transfers, I've been in Corona for 4 months now, so we'll see what happens!

This week was a blooper

This week was probably the funniest week I've ever had in my mission!

Blooper 1 = the chase
Wednesday, we were able to go on exchanges! I was with my country lovin bestie sister morley and it was so much fun! She came to spanish land and we were out stopping by some people who had been paused in the past. We went up to this house and there was a "beware of dog" sign so we put our keys in the fence to make noise (like always) and then no dog came so we figured it was fine. Walked through the gate, got halfway up there when a dog comes sprinting out of the bushes and sis morley didn't see it so I screamed "ah there is a dog!!" And we ran so fast to the face that was closed. Sister morley hopped the fence so quick and I was cornered by the dog protecting myself with my bag and proselyting libro de Mormón haha luckily the dog was decently nice kinda and I climbed out pretty quick. We walked away laughing so hard hoping we wouldn't get put on YouTube. So ya that was exciting!
Blooper 2 = the fall
We were sitting in our lesson with our 80ish year old friend, Marialena, she is a queen and is the funniest lady ever! We had a good lesson and mid lesson, her member inactive daughter walks in. She's super nice and greets us and then goes to her room cuz she's on a call. We finish the lesson and Marilena offers us some water and peaches (never say no to Latinas) so we said yes and walked to the kitchen when at this point the daughter comes out and is talking to us. As we're all talking the dog pees everywhere in the kitchen and steps in it and its just everywhere. Marialena tries to go discipline the dog but steps right into the pee on the floor. We all go oh no Hermana and as she steps back she slips and is falling quick, luckily I'm standing right there and literally caught her, saving her from a bad smack on the counter and a potential hip replacement. After I caught her she goes "oh dear, I almost fell" and I quite literally almost died laughing. Moral of the story, I saved an old lady💪
Blooper 3 = the 19 yr old son?
So the elders were able to baptize their two friends on Saturday who are sisters. I've talked to the sisters a lot and they are super sweet! We had a little get together as a ward after church and were able to help them meet more of the ward. As my comp and I were leaving, the one recent convert tells me I'm the most beautiful girl ever and that I need to marry her son. I was like woah now... so she snaps a pic of me to send to her son who is in MEXICO! I was like oh my goodness I'm still a missionary my heart is for Jesus! So I'll let yall know if I get a message from this son in Mexico! Yikes!
Miracles!
Although this week was really silly, we had a cool miracle while tracting. We were heading back to our car when I felt like someone was watching us. I double take at these people staring at us through their window soooo we go knock the house and out comes Victor! Victor is super cool! He told us he had been waiting for us for so long! He had been previously taught by missionaries in the past but moved and couldn't contact them. He was super excited and it was definitely a miracle seen! A sweet little girl I've been teaching since I got here also got baptized!! Her fam is all recent converts and she was the last to teach! She amazing! Woot! I know Christ lives! I know this is HIS work and I know he is at the head of this church! I know these miracles are HIS miracles!

Boba boba so much boba

Sooo we found a new boba place that is very close to our apartment and ya we've hit that place up like every day! Tbh not a ton happened this week, just trying to find those prepared people.
Fiesta uno
So, we had a surprise birthday party for a recent converts daughter who we're actually tag team teaching with our young single adult ward roommates. Her name is Kristal and she's amazing. We helped set up the party and waited for her to come and she was so happy! It was super fun and if we weren't missionaries workin we would've gotten cake smashed in our faces!
Fiesta dos
We had a stake baptism Saturday for a little boy in our ward. It was super good and there were a ton of non-members there from the family, so we were able to talk to them which was so good! Then we ate like so many tacos cuz there was a taco guy there, so ya catch me eating like 8 tacos that day. It was worth it though. The only bad thing about it, is that it was 105 degrees outside when we had this little after baptism Fiesta and my comp and I were dying. We both drank like 3 water bottles! I'm just grateful I'm not our ward share elders who are on bike!
Milagro
Not gonna lie, it's been tough trying to see miracles this week. We got bashed 3 days in a row, had most of our friends cancel on us, and no friends at church. Just was not the greatest. But miracles still happen! A little girl I've been teaching my whole time here is getting baptized next Saturday! So excited for her!
Nephi
I was able to have a really good study this week when I was kinda just discouraged and having a hard day. The spirit and my Book of Mormon took me to 1 Nephi. I've read it so many times before and I've even read the verse that stood out to me so many times before but this time it was different. I came across Nephi 3:7 where it says, "I will go and do". I thought that our area was struggling and this and that when really, this is the Lord's work. The area is perfect, the people are perfect, His work is perfect. It is just all in HIS timing and all we can do is go and do. I know this is His work, I know He is the center of this gospel, and I'm grateful I get to be a part of both.
Oh, also I hit 9 months! Hallway done which is just insane!
God is good.
Jesus is love.

What in the alabanzas

Hola! Como están a todos? This week is quite literally a blur! So, I'll try my best to remember!
Alabanza's
Alabanza's means praises in Spanish. So, one day we were out knocking and stopping by some friends when we felt prompted to knock this house that had music blasting and people walking up, so we went too. There was a lady in front of the house that said they were doing Alabanza's and invited us in. As we went in, I automatically felt a shift and a change in the spirit. I looked around and saw these people crying and quite literally screaming feeling horrible for their sins and wanting to be saved and forgiven but knew not where to find it. I saw people who didn't understand the atonement of Jesus Christ. I felt sad for them. We didn't stay long; we walked out and left our card. We were both silent for a little bit because of the change of the spirit that kinda shook us both. I had a better idea of how the spirit works with the atonement. I was so grateful for my own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. My eyes were opened to see how others don't understand the atonement and how others feel as though they can't completely be forgiven. The atonement is real. As a missionary I've learned that so much and this experience solidified it for me. That Jesus Christ can and does take my sins away when I sincerely repent in the right way. This experience quite literally changed my life.
Milagro
Our area has been struggling as far as friends keeping commitments and progressing, so it's been a major grind this transfer but miracles are still out there and this one was kinda funny. So, we went to stop by a referral that lived in like this boujee apartment complex that we definitely weren't supposed to be in, so we go up to the third floor of this complex and as we turn the corner to the apartment we were looking for, there was a big dog. I stopped as I turned the corner and saw the dog cuz I didn't know if it was nice, and I've definitely been chased by dogs before and I wasn't about to do that in a complex I wasn't technically allowed in. Luckily the dog was nice, and her name was Remy. She had tags so we called the owner and he said he was an hour away and so to just put her back in his apartment on the back porch we were like welp ok! The owner was very nice, and we left a card in his door with our number and thanking him for giving us the cool opportunity to serve him. Didn't think much of it until this morning WE GOT A TEXT SAYING "Hey! I got your note! What church are y'all from? I've been looking for one since I moved here" JAW ON THE FLOOR. We were so hyped. Remy is our miracle.
Ya that's about it. Pray for our friends that they can keep commitments! I love this gospel and I'm grateful for the Lord's hand in my life. And I'm grateful to be an instrument in the hands of a loving Heavenly Father!
God is good.
Jesus is love.

Mosquitos, bees, new pmg?

Nobody told me that mosquitos would be this bad in SoCal! I have 13 mosquito bites that are the size of golf balls so ya if anyone knows the best way to get rid of these johns let me know cuz all the serums and lotions and potions I've put on don't work.

Bees = hna bee = crush
We have this really cool friend named Checo. He has been taught 3 times and has come to church and our game night. He's been progressing and just is a killa but this past week he basically spilled out all his feelings for hna bee and gave her a homemade bee. It was really sweet but ya no my hearts for Jesus and Checo needs the gospel not hna bee soo ya we passed him off to the elders but hopefully he progresses!! Pic of the bee down below!
Grindin
This week has been a grind for sure. We have a solid 600 members and 10% are active so we have just been busier than ever trying to contact these members! Not even gonna lie it got overwhelming and we needed a break, so we got priesthood blessings and figured out what the best way to do all of the work that needs to be done.
Service
Sooo we got to do service this week and it was a lot! Most of the zone got up and went to help move boxes into Uhauls we were told there were 2 storage units and 2 uhauls so we were like alright for sure. No, there were 7 storage units and 5 uhauls. It was insane. Each one was just full of crap so much crap. But we were able to clean out 3 storage units in an hour and a half which was so good. But it was crazy! And as we were moving one of the Uhaul guys and I were choppin it up as we were hucking boxes. He kept hyping me up and telling me that was so strong and in return I was hyping him up about the gospel so yk gotta do what ya gotta do. His name was Demitri, and he reminded me of Ray from Princess and the Frog. He was so cool. There are so many out there looking for the gospel and the light of Christ!!
Gunshot boom bam baby
Uhh ya... ok so we were out this past week stopping by a friend in a trailer park and as we were trying to find parking, we met Ignacia! She was this cute little old lady I hopped out of the car to talk to her as my comp parked the car. Ignacia was super sweet and is looking for peace. We were able to have a little lesson outside of her trailer on the street and it was very powerful and good. Mid lesson we hear a gunshot. Just a single gunshot but neither of us felt like we should leave, neither of us felt like we were in danger, so we finished our lesson with caution and as we did so cop's and ambulances and firetrucks were whipping around the corner from where we were. It was crazy! We ended up getting a return appointment with Ignacia and left feeling good. Don't worry mom it was alright.
New Pres!
I love my new mission President and his wife! They are amazing. We got to meet them this past week and it just felt so right. I felt at peace and know they were called her for a reason. I'm excited to get to know them more and to experience these next 9ish months with them! And new pmg (Preach My Gospel)?? Ayo EVERYONE needs to be reading the new pmg it is NOT only for missionaries, but it is quite literally for every member of the Church! So read it! It's amazing!
Welp that's it from me.
It's really hot here.
God is still good though!
Jesus Christ still is pure love!

The hardest thing I've ever loved to do

God is a loving Heavenly Father. The first principle we teach as missionaries.  A simple statement, but one that has changed my life.  God...
