She brought in the Nacho Libre painting and that's when I knew... immediate best friend

Hola todos!! I'm currently starting my third transfer in Crown town USA and I'm hyped!! I also have the best new compa Hermana Longhurst who is gonna make me a Latina because she is 50% Mexican ayoo!

The funeral
It was the CRMs final mission conference with President Watson this past Wednesday. To say we were sad would be an understatement. President Watson has changed every single one of our lives, mine especially. There wasn't a dry eye in the room elders, sisters, seniors, we were all in tears at the "funeral" of the Watson fam. President Watson has taught me so much, but two things have really stuck out to me in his outgoing talk. The first thing he talked about was the importance of staying active in the church as an RM because it's becoming an issue. He said "You have no right to go inactive after all the work the Lord as put in for you to change you. You have no right to turn down the eternal blessings. You have no right to turn your back on the Savior after having a personal witness of his love for you." That shook me to my core. Right then and there I made a promise with Heavenly Father that I would never turn my back on Him or my Savior. Along with those wise words from a very wise man we heard something else that really stuck with me and that was "You are ALWAYS worthy to pray" YOU are ALWAYS worthy to pray to our loving Heavenly Father because it doesn't matter how far you've fallen, the light of Christ will always reach you. That is something I've come to learn these past 8 months on my mission and it is something I will cherish and remember forever. We are always worthy to pray because God gave that gift and opportunity for every single human on this earth. This was a very sad day. President and Sister Watson are some of the most incredible disciples of Jesus Christ I have ever met. I know I was called to President Watson for 8 months of my mission and I know I have been called to serve under the direction of President Hendrickson for these next 10 months. Follow the keys.
Milagros!
We have seen so many miracles this week! God has been providing and helping out our area so much. One day we went out knocking with Edgar (a recent convert) and had lots of success finding new people to teach! It was super good and we were able to get in contact with an inactive member which was really good too! We currently have 600 members in our ward but only about 60 are active so ya we have a massive binder that we call "the black book" cuz it sounds cooler. And we have been grinding through our inactive members and are actually seeing a lot of success! After knocking with Edgar we went home and were getting out of our car when this guy gets out of his car and just immediately starts speaking spanish and is asking if we can help him with his door dash order so we try and help him out and then he is surprised with our spanish and is saying how he wishes so bad that he could speak English and I'm like oh hey guess what we're starting up English classes soon at our church would you be interested? And he was like YES! and then continues to say I've also been looking for a church to go too so boom bam we got his number and are gonna start teaching him english and the gospel!
Did I change my hair or somethin??
Ok ok ok so this past week we went and got boba at this really good boba place although I still miss the one by my home... anyways not the point so we go and get boba and as we're walking out this Asian guy is just staring at me in the parking lot as we walk to our car so I'm like "UH hi I like your hat" and he goes "you are the most beautiful girl I've ever seen" I was like oh uh ok thanks and hurried and got in the car. Then the next day we're out seeking and this guy is walking his scooter and walks past us so I try to start up a convo and he just goes in spanish "beautiful woman" i was like bruh what so we just kept walkin and then the next day we are visiting an inactive and it turns into this whole fiasco where the dog gets let out so the brother of the inactive goes to get it and the inactive isn't home so we just are like ok so we stand there for a minute waiting and then just decided to leave and then we see the brother with the dog and I tell him in spanish that we'll come back another day and then he just goes "I love you" I was like oh my no no no and my comp is just dying cuz it was 3 days in a row so ya idk what I did maybe it's just the tag? So funny and yucky gross. My heart is for Jesus.
The painting
So I got my new comp this week for transfers and we get all of her stuff in and there's a little painting and I was like what's this? And she goes oh guess so I'm like idk trying to guess and she goes "it's Nacho Libre" and we just started dying laughing and so now that pic is on our wall right next to our door. If you haven't seen Nacho Libre idk if we can be friends....
Alright that's about it from me!
Remember that God is so good!
Jesus Christ is pure love!

Gordito gatito hehe put it in Google translate

Woah now this week flew!! And it got up to a cool 99 degrees ladies and gents! I am SWEATING. But don't worry I'm drinking plenty of water and plenty of XL 99 cent Dr pepper. All is well.

Suns out guns out.
This week went quick! We have been working with a ton of inactive members and it's been super cool to see our efforts be magnified by the Lord but it's only possible through faith. I had a thought pop into my mind about reaching out to an inactive family who we tried to get in contact with in April. And right when I was going to text the Hermana, she texted me! She said she was sorry for not reaching out sooner and that she wanted us to start teaching her 3 unbaptized kids. I was like WUTTTTTT SO COOL!! We are now teaching the family and they are all praying as a family about a baptismal date for their 3 kids! Ah so cool!! And the best part was that they came to the ward Father's Day party and church!! Woot woot! Prayers up for the Moreno family!
Milagro!
I was able to go on an exchange this week with my roommate! Her name is sis milla, milla dawg, or that's what I call her, and she is the best! She came to Spanish land, and we went out to stop by more inactives. We prayed and picked a few people to stop by. Every single house we knocked on that day let us in, and we had a lesson and got a return appointment. It was the coolest thing ever. In one of the lessons, we met the fattest cat ever named Nina and she was the funniest chunkiest cat I've ever seen! Ah exchanges are so good!
Fiesta!
Sooo Latinos know how to partay! We had a Father's Day fiesta Friday night and 3 of our friends came which was so good! We had a Hermana sing to her husband, a recent convert rap, and a lot of tacos but it was so fun! We even got light up glasses. They even tried to get hna b to sing but hna b doesn't sing so luckily, she got out of that one! It was cool though to see our friends there!! Members are the way!
Iglesia milagro
We had a sick church miracle! We invited so many of our friends to church literally all of them! And none of them came but 3 random people came which was SICK!! We were able to get their contact information and set some stuff up! One of them was named Jorge and we were able to teach him right after church! It was super spirit led, one of the most spirit led lessons I've ever had in my mission. We taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ and invited him to ask God if this church was true and I love testifying of my Savior! As a missionary, I try to testify in every contact, but it doesn't always come with grande power but during this lesson I felt the angels backing me up and the tears were streaming down my face as the spirit testified of Jesus Christ through my mouth. It was so amazing! I felt the love that Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father had for our friend Jorge, and he is now praying to know if this church is true.
I love Jesus Christ; he is our advocate. He is my WHY. I'm not gonna lie, there have been times on my mission where it has been so hard to focus on my WHY or where I've forgotten my WHY but that's where the spirit comes in and I remember that it's not about me, it's not about my friends it's not about my companion, it's about Jesus Christ. Our why always needs to be Jesus Christ. I've been learning that these past 8 months and it's changed my life. If you can't figure out your WHY, go to the scriptures, to sacrament, go to your knees. I promise that you will be able to find your WHY.
God is good.
Jesus Christ is love.

"Big girls don't cry" -Fergie

This week was the definition of a rollercoaster. It went SO fast, but lots happened. I cried a little bit only a little.

Carlos = my shattered heart
I know I'm so dramatic but this one hurts! We had to pause Carlos this week. It was so so sad. I got attached cuz I just see so much potential in him but after praying and fasting and pondering a lot I knew it's what needed to happen. And I know that he's back in God's hands for now and someday he'll be all dressed in white! I just pray I'm still in the mission! Definitely was a tuff moment but God provides and magnifies our efforts so much and that showed this week. I'll always think about Carlos and pray that someday his heart and mind will be opened!
Milagros do happen!
After that tough day I just wanted to get our finding people. I prayed and prayed that we would find the "one" because in our mission we focus on the one soul each day. So, we went to work and went to stop by someone who was taught in the past named Jo. We knocked on the door and were able to meet Betsy! She was the mom of Jo and said that Jo moved away which sad but no biggie because we started off talking about eternal families!! This is something our zone is trying to focus on for what's called a zone plan and it's been super effective! We asked Betsy if she wanted to know how she could live with her family for eternity and she lightened up and said, "well what do you mean?" I love that question! We ended up teaching a little bit about our purpose and forever families and got a return appointment! It was so cool! We even got to meet their parrot Paco! He was a legend except made me feel so insecure about my laugh cuz he mocked it.... anyways it was such a tender mercy miracle moment! God magnified our efforts so much this week!
All the kids!
We got to teach so many kids this week which is my favorite! We teach some recent convert kids and their young siblings every week and this time we had them be the missionaries and they taught us. We got them tags and everything and were able to act out how to missionary. As I was sitting there listen to these 3 kids teach the gospel, I realized how simple and pure this gospel really is. It kinda took me back a little and I recognized the simplicity of things and how I like to overcomplicate things. They strengthened my testimony a lot and helped me bring it back to the basics of God is our loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is his perfect son. Kids are incredible and they carry the spirit so strongly! I'm grateful for what they teach me.
Crazy week! It was my last interview with President Watson this week! And it was so good and a little tender. Right after my interview he had our amazing STL (sister training leader) sis Grames walk in and do her interview. And when she came out another sister went in and then during that sister's interview literally mid interview President Watson walks out and says "Hermana Broadbent you're now and STL with sister Grames" I was like wut.... so ya kinda cool to see how revelation flows through President Watson. I know he's been called of God and my new mission President is too.
God is so very good!
Jesus Christ is pure love!

The hardest thing I've ever loved to do

God is a loving Heavenly Father. The first principle we teach as missionaries.  A simple statement, but one that has changed my life.  God...
