C o v i d ain't got nothin on hna b

Welp yep hna b has covid. Woot woot:/ not the greatest news but it is what it is. Got tested yesterday after fighting a bad cold for 3 days and here I am in day 2 of quarantine so boo ya! I'm trying to stay positive because I know the Lords fingerprints are everywhere and he's so aware of me and we saw many miracles this week! Ps I'm staying in Temecula anotha transfer!
Chinese Spanish English miracle?
This was pretty cool ladies and gents! Friday night I was feeling just terrible, but I knew the next day was going to be super busy with our huge fiesta that our ward puts on every year to celebrate Latin culture and many non-members come so it's actually perfect for missionary work. I was stressing though because I was feeling so sick so my roommate had the prompting to ask me if I wanted a blessing and I was like oh ya that would be so good and so I prayed about it and wanted the Chinese elders in our complex to give me my blessing...
Just wait it gets better. So, I call em up and they are like alright we will be there. So, we are waiting around and then there is a knock on the door, so I go to open it and its this man from China handing me door dash. I tried explaining to him that I didn't order door dash and he didn't understand me but oh my GOD IS SO GOOD and we used Google translate to communicate and I told him 2 of our friends were on their way and that they spoke Chinese and he was like oh no way so the elders pull up and I'm like oh my elders we need your help and they help him out and also got his number and told him about who they were and he wants to come to church and English class! It was so cool! I KNOW God is in the details of the details of the details and he is preparing people. I also know he has a sense of humor because me trying to speak mandarin was quite hilarious, I know un poco de chino so that was really somethin.

Our culture night came the next day after our little miracle and I was so nervous cuz I woke up feeling bad and I just wanted energy for the fiesta so we worked online and did all that we could, and we got ready for the party, and it was a HUGE success. Our friends came as well as a ton of non-members. It was amazing. I had so much energy and we met lots of good people although I kept my distance (everyone chill out I didn't know it was covid). A night full of success and yummmmy food!

3 cakes later....

Hola hola hola! How is everyone doing? This week was so miracle filled! I also turned 20 so I feel really old but also so grateful to be serving my Savior during my birthday! Nowhere else I'd rather be, and I got really spoiled with 3 birthday parties which consisted of 3 cakes woot woot! Thank goodness we work out every morning....

Right not the CRM is really focusing on proactive goal setting and how to make goals that we can achieve. It's been great! As we were making our goals for this past week, we knew our friend Sandro was going to be baptized and so we would only have 2 people on date. We knew that we have some very progressing friends and know God is a God of miracles so as we prayed about this goal we felt prompted to make it 3 and put another friend on date. The night before our baptism we were able to put our friend Jorge on date for Oct 21. He is so prepared! One of the most prepared people I've ever met. It was so cool being able to really put our trust and faith in a loving Heavenly Father. Setting goals that would stretch us but also be achievable IF we put the work in. Temecula is a white field already to harvest.
Sandro
Our bestie Sandro was baptized on Saturday, and it was seriously one of the most spiritual baptisms I have ever been a part of. He was absolutely glowing, and the ward filled the room as well as 2 of our friends who came to watch (one being Jorge woot) Hermana Haws and I were able to be the witnesses and it brought tears to my eyes. Sandro is from Cuba and had a hard life growing up. He moved here to get a better job and life as well as find a way to provide for his daughter who is still in Cuba. He was found through an English class ad in a group on Facebook that his sister is in. His sister still lives in Cuba but saw the ad and sent it to him. He started coming and then started slowly being taught and 3 weeks ago because of members he felt ready to be baptized. Sandro is a miracle, and he is incredible. I KNOW this gospel blesses individuals and families. I experience it every day.
20 years?
I still feel like I'm 17 sometimes but it felt a little different being 20 years old this time. I've been reflecting a lot on this past year and how much I absolutely love my mission and how grateful I am to be here. A mission was not the plan for me but in a time where I was so lost, Heavenly Father told me I needed to serve a mission. I still remember that day and that experience. I know God is a loving Heavenly Father who wants me to succeed and find joy in this life and I have but only through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I couldn't have made it this far without my Savior. A mission is no piece of cake. It is the hardest most incredible thing a person can do. I am a better person and a better disciple. I love my Savior and I love being a missionary.

The hardest thing I've ever loved to do

God is a loving Heavenly Father. The first principle we teach as missionaries.  A simple statement, but one that has changed my life.  God...
