"You just got passed by a Barb"

The license plates just keep gettin better and better out here in ol Hemet! So ya basically in a moment of pure chaotic driving we got passed by a barb...

Bautismossssss
Hijole! My fav twinners were baptized!! Ah what an incredible day! It's been so cool to be a part of the whole experience! Being able to find, teach, and baptize! (Well not baptize) but yk. I have so much love for the Espinal family! We had an incredible miracle during the miracle of the baptism. So, the girls couldn't get baptized by their dad who's a member because of some temporal reasons but during the baptism I looked over at the dad and I could just tell the spirit was working on him. After the baptisms I felt prompted to go up and talk to him and our awesome mission leader and asked how it went and he turns to me and my comp and said, "I want to baptize my son" MIC DROP!!!! They have a 12-year-old son who isn't baptized, and we've been teaching a little bit and HIS DAD WANTS TO BAPTIZE HIM ON MARCH 25!!! I KNOW this gospel blesses individuals and families and I know the spirit is there to help us and guide us! What an incredible gift the spirit is! Use it don't abuse it!
WrEckED
Bruthas and sistas I got ROASTED on my Spanish this week! Ha! Did it hurt my feelings? Yes. Am I okay now? Sort of. Jk it was okay and I grinded out my Spanish study. And the next day I got told my Spanish was really really good especially for only being out for 4 months so ya. I guess my Spanish is mid.
Nueva compañera
My new comp is literally amazing holy we are CONSTANTLY laughing! She's awesome and we truly find so much joy in the work! Shout out to Hermana Church aka Iglesia!
I wanna end with a shmol thought! This past transfer I studied the Christlike attribute of Patience. Literally so tuff but so empowering at the same time! As I've been working on patience, I have had to really put my trust in the Lord for myself and for our friends. I've learned that with patience comes small victories and miracles. My scripture I've really clung to along with this is Mosiah 24:15! Go read it!
I love you all! I love my Savior and I know he lives!
LOOK FOR THOSE MIRACLES!

When not understanding spanish almost gets you engaged....

The gift of tongues... I don't think I have that yet. Ah oh my I'm starting this email off a little bit embarrassed!!

Yuck!
Ok so hna Haws and I were out seeking last Tuesday when we met this guy named Jose. He was nice, called us Hermosa y Bonita which was nice but then it got way weird... and of course I had no idea. We were sharing about the Book of Mormon and if he's ever seen one before he agreed and said yes and that his wife had one but she had gone to Mexico and he needed a new wife or maybe two and asked if we would and me always saying "Sí" to just about everything made this even more creepy... my comp quickly said no and ended the contact quickly and secretly wrote down the elders number and we walked away, far away. Now get this, as we were walking back to our car, HOMEBOY DRIVES PAST SLOW AND WAVES AND GOES "Bye baby!" 🤢 nonono we got in our car so fast and drove away! Ugh gross It was awful but now we laugh about it so it's okay and we always watch out for his blue truck and checked for anything SUS on our car. God protects even when I can't Spanish!
Mimi!
Ah our friend Mimi is incredible! We've been meeting with her a lot and had a full restoration lesson with her. The spirit was so strong, and we shared the first vision with her and showed her the video of the first vision as well! After, we talked a little about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon and she said in Spanish of course "YA ya this is all true. Joseph Smith was a Prophet this is the only church that is true" my jaw DROPPED. Ah Mimi Is incredible and the only reason she's not on date yet is because she can't commit to church so pray for a miracle that Mimi can come to church!!!!
Skills training woot!
Ok so I got to train in our mission wide training this past week and I was STRESSED I'm not even out of training yet! But jeez con Dios todo es posible! We were able to do an awesome training, and we all learned so much from the spirit! We got to train on "Finding in the Saviors Way" not only does this relate to missionary work, but it relates to every member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! The way we need to find as missionaries is with Christlike love and our friends need to continue to feel that love from the members in their congregations. Something that we focused on was in Mark 10:21 and this scripture talks about how Jesus Christ interacted with everyone he came in contact with and that is love. I can promise you that as you interact with people with more Christlike love, not only will you bless someone else, but you will see the blessings! For the second greatest commandment is love thy neighbor as thyself!
I love you all!
God is so very good!

Abuelitas!!

What a week!! I wish I could remember it all haha but I'm gonna try!

Abeulas!
I think I've spent more time with little Spanish grandma's more than my own! Haha but I love it!! First, we got to hang out with sweet Abigail! She is the sweetest lil lady! She's a member and we visit her weekly. We've been trying to get her to church but because of some past instances in her life, she has a lot of fear and doesn't leave the house often, but she sure loves when we come over! We were able to paint libros and listen to conference talks with her! She loved it and so did I hehe! The other lil cutie we actually met this week (new friend woot) is named Mimi! Ugh I LOVE MIMI she calls us her angels and now calls me Graciela and I kinda really love it! We met her through a referral from the elders and she just loves Jesus Christ and company! She literally invited us to live with her the first day we met her! We're hoping to teach her and hopefully get her on date this week! Pray for Mimi! The last lil sweetie we got to stop by was my absolute favorite little bean, Raquel Rios! The first time I met her was my first Sunday in church here in Hemet and I immediately gravitated toward her! She was baptized at 89 years old! She is currently 94 and kickin! We were able to hear some of her sweet stories and I literally cried when she bore her sweet testimony! She has a soft spot in my heart! I'm so grateful for my grandma's at home and my step-in grandma's here in Hemet! Grandmas are awesome!!
Amigos!
It's been a very interesting week with our friends, Satan is REALLY TRYING and it's REALLY ANNOYING but oh well, part of the mission life, right? We hadn't been able to get in contact with one of our friends Flavio, who is on date. He has been going through it... We finally got into the door after our fellowship literally knocked on the windows! We had a lesson with him about faith and how the Adversary is going to try everything he can to make sure Flavio doesn't get baptized, BUT we also talked about the divine power of Jesus Christ and how he's our biggest support! He felt a lot better! We had to push his date back a little bit but that's okay, it's all in the Lord's timing! Please pray for Flavio!!
My thoughts...
As I've been able to do my studies this week, I loved studying Come Follow Me, if you haven't read the section for this week, I invite you to do so!! It talks a lot about how the Savior used the scriptures to resist the temptations of Satan and to testify of his divine mission! We have all been tempted to sin, we're all sinners. Even our very own Savior, was tempted by the Adversary. Except his response was powerful. The Savior knew his worth, and the cool thing with that is he knows our worth. Knowing our own worth can help us to resist temptation! You are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father and the brothers and sisters of a beloved Savior. In this dark world it's hard to remember that but turn to the scriptures and prayer and you will come to know your worth, through Jesus Christ! I'd like to end with a quote from President Ezra Taft Benson, he taught "Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can" I testify of these words! If you turn your hearts to God, he will bless you in ways that you can't even imagine.
God is so good!

God is a loving Heavenly Father. The first principle we teach as missionaries.  A simple statement, but one that has changed my life.  God...
