What a week!! I wish I could remember it all haha but I'm gonna try!
Abeulas!
I think I've spent more time with little Spanish grandma's more than my own! Haha but I love it!! First, we got to hang out with sweet Abigail! She is the sweetest lil lady! She's a member and we visit her weekly. We've been trying to get her to church but because of some past instances in her life, she has a lot of fear and doesn't leave the house often, but she sure loves when we come over! We were able to paint libros and listen to conference talks with her! She loved it and so did I hehe! The other lil cutie we actually met this week (new friend woot) is named Mimi! Ugh I LOVE MIMI she calls us her angels and now calls me Graciela and I kinda really love it! We met her through a referral from the elders and she just loves Jesus Christ and company! She literally invited us to live with her the first day we met her! We're hoping to teach her and hopefully get her on date this week! Pray for Mimi! The last lil sweetie we got to stop by was my absolute favorite little bean, Raquel Rios! The first time I met her was my first Sunday in church here in Hemet and I immediately gravitated toward her! She was baptized at 89 years old! She is currently 94 and kickin! We were able to hear some of her sweet stories and I literally cried when she bore her sweet testimony! She has a soft spot in my heart! I'm so grateful for my grandma's at home and my step-in grandma's here in Hemet! Grandmas are awesome!!
Amigos!
It's been a very interesting week with our friends, Satan is REALLY TRYING and it's REALLY ANNOYING but oh well, part of the mission life, right? We hadn't been able to get in contact with one of our friends Flavio, who is on date. He has been going through it... We finally got into the door after our fellowship literally knocked on the windows! We had a lesson with him about faith and how the Adversary is going to try everything he can to make sure Flavio doesn't get baptized, BUT we also talked about the divine power of Jesus Christ and how he's our biggest support! He felt a lot better! We had to push his date back a little bit but that's okay, it's all in the Lord's timing! Please pray for Flavio!!
My thoughts...
As I've been able to do my studies this week, I loved studying Come Follow Me, if you haven't read the section for this week, I invite you to do so!! It talks a lot about how the Savior used the scriptures to resist the temptations of Satan and to testify of his divine mission! We have all been tempted to sin, we're all sinners. Even our very own Savior, was tempted by the Adversary. Except his response was powerful. The Savior knew his worth, and the cool thing with that is he knows our worth. Knowing our own worth can help us to resist temptation! You are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father and the brothers and sisters of a beloved Savior. In this dark world it's hard to remember that but turn to the scriptures and prayer and you will come to know your worth, through Jesus Christ! I'd like to end with a quote from President Ezra Taft Benson, he taught "Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can" I testify of these words! If you turn your hearts to God, he will bless you in ways that you can't even imagine.
God is so good!
