Ugh I am sad! I'm now leaving Hemet after 4 months and I'm so so sad! I've loved my time here and the incredible people I've met! Goodbyes are by far my least favorite thing ever. Now where is she going you ask? I'm heading to crown town aka Corona! All in all I know that I've finished the work I've needed to do in Hemet and I'm beyond grateful to have served in Hemet for 4 months of my mission! On to crown town to see some awesome miracles!
Onto this week though because it was amazing!! I saw the Lords hand so much!!
Milagro uno!
Sebastian was baptized!! Wow the love I have for the Espinal family!! It was quite the day trying to prep for his baptism, Satan was trying really hard to make sure this day would not happen but God is so good and Sebastian was baptized and confirmed the newest member in the Ramona ward wooot! He was so so happy and came out of the water and said "I did it!" Ahh he did it! My heart was so happy! While he was getting dressed my comp and I were able to give the restoration lesson because there were some non members and the spirit was so strong. I was able to give the first vision in spanish and as soon as I spoke I couldn't help but cry. This was the first time I gave the first vision in spanish and the first time I've ever cried while giving it. I want you all to know that I KNOW that Joseph Smith was a true prophet called of God. I KNOW that the Book of Mormon is true. I KNOW that we can find real and true joy through Jesus Christ. I KNOW he lives.
Milagro dos
We had conference weekend woot woot! I love conference! I watched 4/5 in spanish so tbh I'm not 100% sure what was said but I do have 6 months to catch up so thank goodness haha! I love how Charity was brought up multiple times though! I know Charity is the pure love of Christ. And I need it more in my life haha! I also LOVED in the sunday session where Elder Ballard talked about the things that matter most and I love this quote by him "What matters most is what lasts the longest" um mic drop! So true! What matters most to us will last the longest. I also loved how many times covenants were talked about! Covenants are so important! We need to always remember our covenants and keep them! As we finished conference on Saturday, we went over to Mimis for a mini lesson and the spirit told me and my comp to talk about covenants. We talked about Jesus Christ and how he kept his covenants and how covenants are important promises that we make with God. Mimi agreed and liked what we were talking about. I felt the spirt telling me to invite her to make her first covenant with God. I was so nervous and kept stalling until finally in my broken spanish invited Mimi to be baptized on May 6. She said yes!! Oh my goodness!! I almost cried it was so cool! Mimi is incredible and I'm so grateful I've been able to teach her about our loving Heavenly father and our Savior! I will definitely be at her baptism!!
I am so grateful for this past week and for the past 4 months I've spent in Hemet! I've gained such a strong testimony of the grace of Jesus Christ and the love he has for everyone! I've also gained such a strong testimony about the Book of Mormon! If you haven't read it in a while, I invite you to pick it up or download it on your phone and read just 1 verse just 1 verse. I promise you will be able to find joy from just one verse or even an answer to a prayer.
I love you all! Jesus Christ lives!
God is so good!
