This week was wildin but also not really... got Covid again and experienced my first California earthquake. Twas quite the week. There were milagros though, so it was worth it.
El bautismo de Victoria
My sweet friend from my last area was baptized this weekend and I got to go! It was such a special baptism. Victoria has been on date 2 weeks after I got to Lake Elsinore. Me and my two other comps were able to put her on date for December 16, but Satan sucks and we had to move it back, but it was so worth it! Victoria was so ready and being able to watch her grow closer to her Savior was so cool. I had a very spiritual lesson with her on a day where I was really struggling to remember my purpose. She has helped me a lot and I was cheesin so big when she got baptized. She came out of the water glowing and crying and she just took a second and looked down at the water and smiled. Tears were rolling down my cheeks at that point. Moments like that are some I will never forget, and I am so proud of Victoria!
Volkswagen vibes
Since we are in and out of our mission office a lot as sister APs, we were able to help the senior missionaries with the brand-new cars that came in. We got permission to drive these 4 cars to the pep boys down the street. It was boujee cuz we didn't have a monitor to check our speed and we all got to drive alone tehe. When I was in the car, I remember praying to just be able to use my Spanish that day. I am not in a Spanish area, and it's been rough because I love my Latino people so dang much! We pulled into the pep boys, and I got out and out of nowhere this guy walks straight up to me and starts speaking Spanish, I was able to help him get to an urgent appointment and get him directions. It was a tender mercy and at that point I knew God heard my prayer. Also, driving alone is so sad, I was lowkey so lonely so when I come home i expect to have a buddy at all times!
Teenagers
So, I've come to realize now that I'm not a teenager that teenagers are terrifying like absolutely terrifying. And we were about to stop by one. His name was Shawn, and he met the elders a couple months ago. He was such a sweetheart and really wanted to know more about Jesus Christ. It was amazing to see this 17-year-old boy want to come closer to His Savior and his parents were so sweet too! They invited us to come back and we are so hyped because our new friend game hasn't been doin great, so we are so excited for Shawn and his family.
Earthquake and covid
I was such a sick head this past Monday and it carried throughout the whole week. I'm pretty positive I had covid again, but I didn't test. Shhhhh, don't worry though, we quarantined for 48 hours and stayed away from lots of people we knew we shouldn't be around. Anyways.. back to the point. We were sickheads. And although we were sick, we worked duh! So, I was on a social media meeting when I hear a thud, I look and see if my comp was okay, but she looked at me with the same thought. About 5 seconds after that, the whole apartment started shaking a lot. Pictures started falling and we were like uhh ok. Luckily it didn't last long but it was lowkey terrifying. So basically relived 2020.
Pues eso es todo!
God is good.
Jesus loves you so much.
