Somethin in the cow air

Buenooo! Cómo están? Twas a good week! Lots of work was done and there is still lots more to be done:)

bruh got mugged?
Ayo we love sketch towns! I've started to carry my pepper spray in my hand like I did in Hemet cuz there's so fun places here. We were walking to one of our lessons at dusk and got into the home for our lesson with our friends Ana y Jorge. Jorge told us never to walk alone on their street because he's been mugged twice and there's always sketchy business ha fun, right? Ya so the pepper spray is always strapped👀 anyways, we ended up having such a good lesson with them and we can totally see them progressing! We showed them the Joseph Smith first vision video and the spirit was just so strong. They both knew it was true and we invited them to pray to know for themselves woot!
Resto resto resto
I don't think I've ever taught the restoration so much in one week! But I love it! I'm not gonna lie, a few years ago I had some doubts about Joseph Smith and really wasn't sure if he was a prophet, but my mission has helped change me and my testimony of Joseph Smith and the Restoration is so strong. We have been teaching it a lot this week and have taken a new approach of starting right off with the first vision and WOW it's been so cool! We currently have 5 friends praying to know the truth about Joseph Smith and the BOM. I know the Book of Mormon is true. When I am struggling, I go to it. It has been my saving grace somedays and fills me with peace. I know Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw that day in 1820 and I know he was a prophet called of God. How cool is it that we literally have a living prophet today! I am so grateful for the restoration!
Milagro!
We've had lots of milagros this week, but Jose's baptism was definitely the highlight! Jose was taught years ago in Nicaragua and then taught a little bit in Georgia a few years ago. He lost contact with missionaries until the sisters showed up around a month ago and he knew it was a sign from God. I have had the privilege to teach him the last 3 lessons and help he learn about the priesthood. I am super grateful for the priesthood and every worthy man who holds it. It's changed my life out here on my mission. Jose has one of the strongest testimonies of any recent convert I've ever met. We were able to have his sister who was a missionary way back when give a talk over zoom and it was so special. We then surprised him with his missionaries who found him in Georgia by having them on zoom too. He was GLOWING! Watching him come up out of the water with the biggest grin on his face made me tear up. Nothing beats that. Nothing.
The atonement is personal
This week I was thinking about my love for the Savior and came across 1 John 4:19 which reads "We love him, because he first loved us."
He first loved us. He always has. He always will. My favorite name for Christ is Healer. Because he's healed me and is continuing to heal me in ways nobody else can. He is the doctor for our hurting souls. The Lord knows our hearts. He values the broken, even lost pieces, more than He values the most eloquent whole piece. Something I've learned with this is that Jesus Christ is never eager to condemn, only to restore. He doesn't want us to suffer, but He knows that our strength comes through our struggles. Sometimes our suffering leads to sacredness. I can't yet say that I'm grateful for my struggles, but I can say i have had sacred experiences with my Savior through my struggles. He first loved us, it's time we show him the love back.
Jesus loves you and He lives.
God is good.

The hardest thing I've ever loved to do

God is a loving Heavenly Father. The first principle we teach as missionaries.  A simple statement, but one that has changed my life.  God...
