Welp anotha week! And yes, we did sing jingle bells after sharing our message on someone's doorstep because they thought we were carolers. The mission veil is thick though and trying to remember the words to jingle bells was embarrassing to say the least, but we got through verse one, so I'd say it was a success.
The call
We had zone conference this past week and it was great! All about finding in all kinds of different ways. We were juiced and quite literally exhausted after but headed out to do the work. I was driving to our first stop when I get a call. I didn't recognize the number but answered and a man named Daniel was on the other line. He said "I want to get baptized! Where do I go? How do you do it?" My jaw was on the floor. I pulled over so I could focus and got talking with Daniel. He told me he wants to know more about who Jesus Christ is and that he wants to change his life around. It was so cool. Never on my mission have I gotten a call like this. We figured out where Daniel lived and got his missionaries in Perris on the phone with us. Daniel is elect. There are prepared souls out there!
Light the CRM
This past Saturday, my mission President gave us a challenge for light the world called light the CRM. From 10-5 on Saturday all the missionaries in the mission needed to be outside finding. Knocking doors, park finding, etc. We were invited to share the "light the world" message to those we met. We were able to talk to all kinds of people. We were knocking a street where nobody had been contacted before. Not a lot of people answering but few did. We were towards the end when we knocked this cute Christmas house. Yvette and Vicente answered. They were so so nice and had the most beautiful family. They were the ones that wanted us to sing jingle bells, so we did it together with their two little girls. It was wholesome. We asked if we could come back, and they were do down. Light the CRM works!
Go spread the light!!
God is good!
Jesus loves you!!
