Hola todos! Anotha dime anotha dolla out here in good o'l SoCal.
Left-handed Jonesy
Soo, we had a fun experience this week! Our recent convert got to go to the temple and do baptisms and confirmations and we got to go! The best part is, we got to go to the San Diego temple! It was so fun! As we were at the front desk, Hermana Jones was writing something and she's left-handed and the old man workin there said, "is it okay to use that hand?" Hermana Jones was so confused, and we were all like huh? And he goes "A lot of people with left hands are autistic. Are you autistic?" Oh my it was the silliest thing ever! Hermana Jones goes "um well I don't think so" HAHAHA I was trying so hard to be reverent mostly cuz I was absolutely shocked but aquí estamos.
Angels
If you've ever heard the song angels by Khalid just know it is such a good song and I relate to it this week. I have felt my angels so much recently. When we were in the temple, a member asked if we'd do 3 initiatories for him. Of course, we said yes! We did the initiatories, and wow the spirit was so strong and the lady that was doing mine just started to cry through the whole thing and I just could feel the presence of angels. We walked out and she said "wow, I almost couldn't get through that" the spirit was so strong! My angels keep me going.
Milagro
This week was crazy! We were running from lesson to lesson! We have a very good teaching pool right now! Our friend, Victoria is on date for December 30! I'm so hyped! She is amazing and just wants to go to the temple so bad. We've been grinding with our two areas now combined. But it's all exciting! On Sunday, we were able to go out on splits with the mission prep kids. We had 2 young girls with us, and we headed out to blitz one of the English elders areas because they've been struggling finding friends. Sooo we started knocking. Since everyone and their mom who speaks English has a ring doorbell, not a lot of people answered. The one who did spoke Spanish, and we were able to get a return appointment. We were about to head out when I just had this prompting to knock one last house. We walked up and a man named Mike answered the door. He was so happy to see us! Before we even said really anything he said, "You guys are from the church, right?" We were like "yes" and he said, "come on in!" I was shocked. We walked in and found out that they were Persian and their son had been asking a lot about God and so they told us it was perfect that we came. We shared a message with them, and the spirit was so strong. We invited them to church and our Christmas stake service, and they said "We'll be there" it was so so cool! Persians be different for real.
Pues God is good.
Jesus loves you.
